Kurmancî, Soranî, Zazakî: three languages, one cause
What sets the three Kurdish languages apart, and why all three matter.
Kurmancî (Northern Kurdish) is the most widely spoken Kurdish language, written in the Hawar Latin script, from Turkey to Armenia.
Soranî (Central Kurdish) is an official language of the Kurdistan Region in Iraq, written in an Arabic-based script, with a rich literary tradition.
Zazakî stands on its own, Northwestern Iranian, carried orally by the Dengbêj tradition, listed as vulnerable by UNESCO.
At Dengê all three are equals: the same effort, the same quality, the same love.
